Dopo che al pilota di armored trooper Chirico Cuvie vengono impartiti gli ordini di trasferimento sul Pianeta Odon, lui e tutte le altre nuove reclute vengono mandati in una battaglia simulata per testare le loro abilità. Tuttavia, questa "battaglia simulata" si rivela essere uno scontro reale per eliminare coloro che non possiedono le capacità necessarie. Chirico sopravvive insieme ad altri soli tre commilitoni, nonostante abbia combattuto mentre era ferito. Diventa presto evidente che non è la prima volta che sopravvive contro ogni probabilità, un fatto che il Colonnello Peruzen desidera sfruttare. Ma Chirico è davvero immortale?
